HOLIDAY ROAD UPDATE
oad reconstruction work will begin Monday, May 20, 2013. Hours of work are scheduled between 7 AM - 6:00 PM.
The original project schedule can be viewed by clicking here. As with almost all projects of this magnitude, schedules are changed to due to weather and other items beyond our control.


Winter Parking
An abbreviated version of the Grand Traverse County's Winter Parking Ordinance is as follows:
WINTER PARKING ORDINANCE
IN EFFECT IN GRAND TRAVERSE COUNTY
December 1 through March 31
(NOTE: The City of Traverse City has a separate ordinance and fine structure.)
The Grand Traverse County Board of Commissioners has enacted a Winter Parking Ordinance prohibiting the parking of motor vehicles on public roadways and shoulders of roads in Grand Traverse County during the winter season.

SECTION IV: REGULATION
No person shall park any vehicle in or upon a roadway or shoulder of a roadway or street in Grand Traverse County from December 1 to March 31 of the following year between the hours of 12:00 am. (midnight) and 8:00 a.m. and snow emergencies.
SECTION VI: VIOLATION AND PENALTY
A person who violates this ordinace shall be subject to a fine only of not more than $25.00 for the first offense, $50.00 for the second offense, $75.00 for the third offense and $100.00 for fourth and each additional offense plus costs of prosecution.
